The National Park Service announced Thursday it will remove all products containing the Confederate flag from its bookstores and gift shops, joining other retailers and politicians who’ve done so in the wake of the fatal shooting of nine black churchgoers at an Emanuel AME church in Charleston. However, the park service says it will continue to sell books and educational materials that depict the rebel symbol in a historical context.
